Job Description

Basic Function:
Responsible for the reconciliation of various investor custodial accounts and general ledger accounts, as well as other accounting related functions.  Perform research and data analysis. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of various Investor custodial accounts using the Black Knight (Fidelity/MSP) bank reconciliation workstation or Sunrise Recon application, meeting required bank, investor & regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform various general ledger reconciliations including research and resolution of variances.
  • Perform the investor test of expected cash reconciliation including loan level balancing for some recon types.  Work with the Investor Reporting staff to resolve differences.
  • Assist with compiling monthly data files for upload to Sunrise Recon, including performing data validation and quality control checks.
  • Perform root cause analysis when researching variances within reconciliations.
  • Perform various daily/monthly schedules and other accounting-related tasks as required.
  • Assist in the compilation of required documentation for internal and external audit requests.
  • Perform problem resolution around more complex issues and assist in solution.
  • Perform delegated  tasks & project work as assigned by management
  • Communicate with internal cross-functional areas and business partners to resolve complex inquiries/issues and make recommendations for procedural changes if necessary.
  • Assist in developing processes associated with new business initiatives under Manager’s direction
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures related to Corporate Risk.
 
 
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Work independently under general supervision as well as a member of a project team.  This position has interaction with internal and external bank partners.
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.  In lieu of degree, 3 to 4 years’ accounting, auditing or relevant bank experience.
  • Strong PC skills with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to compile data through the use of data extracting tools.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
 
 
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year experience in accounting, audit, or financial institution experience preferred
  • Bank Reconciliation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience using MSP/Black Knight system and other software programs utilized by department. 
  • Previous Investor Reporting experience.
