Job Description

The position is responsible for supporting a variety of functions in the Marketing and Communications Division, including but not limited to general project management, assistance with the development and execution of various creative, marketing and communication initiatives, establishing media strategies and approving market-specific plans, comprehensive budget management, and creating departmental reports and presentations. Other responsibilities include the planning and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and plans to achieve short and long term business objectives, along with other related assignments/projects as requested by management.
This role will partner with marketing colleagues, business line managers and outside vendors to manage the following:
• Campaign Management – Lead the management and execution of select M&T brand and product initiatives, including Retail, Business Banking, Deposits and other business lines.
• Account Executive – Act as liaison between MCD Relationship Managers and Creative Agencies, including the brand agency of record, the agency dedicated to digital communication, and M&T’s internal creative services team to develop strategy brief documents, manage workflows and budgets, and ensure deliverables are met within specify timetables.
• Agency Coordination – Work with agency partners to present creative and solicit feedback from key stakeholders, manage revisions, traffic work through various Compliance teams, and approve/release final materials to media vendors.
• Results Tracking – Work with MCD research and analytics teams to monitor the effectiveness and impact of advertising and marketing programs and apply learnings to subsequent initiatives.
• Content Management – Develop and manage the appropriate resources needed provide materials for M&T’s digital platforms that encourage prospects to open new accounts and deep relationships with existing customers. Video and other static assets will be deployed through, M&T microsites and landing pages, and social media channels.
• Risk Management - Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the M&T’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues and escalate to management as appropriate.
• Additional Duties - complete other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree, or in lieu of a degree, 4 years of work experience.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Managing marketing campaigns in a client or agency environment or in marketing, portfolio management, product development and/or product risk.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows and PC software programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to work independently and function as a member of a project team.
• Detail oriented.

• Minimum 2 years banking industry experience
