Job Description

Completes routine and non-routine clerical duties associated with Federal and state Tax reporting and the escheatment of Unclaimed Property, including processing of state and Federal regulatory mailings. Completes activities in support of regulatory projects, state and Federal regulatory mailings, requiring good data entry skills, ability to research and make moderate judgment decisions.
Maintain current thorough understanding of processes and procedures for each assigned function.
Understand regulations as they pertain to Unclaimed Property Reporting and state and federal tax reporting.
Leverage pertinent core systems to research and process customer responses.
Ensure proper escalation of issues to higher levels to mitigate risk.
Provide internal customer service support relative to tax reporting, regulatory railings and Unclaimed Property.
Research and respond to internal or external (state) inquires.
Assist with data collection for management reporting.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned including application testing and project support.
Nature & Scope:
Position works under moderate supervision and exercises reasonable judgment in completing assigned duties.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 3 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years' Bank experience
Strong spreadsheet skills
Solid understanding of core Bank systems
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
