Job Description

The Opportunity: Review and approve correspondence required by Federal and State law and regulation and investor requirements to M&T Bank customers beginning with early stage default to the initiation of foreclosure.  Work with Data Analytics Team to establish logic that identifies letter recipient populations.   Primary Responsibilities: Analyze and reconcile daily production files against vendor reports ensuring letter and attachments correspond. Research and conduct loan level analysis to ensure accuracy of population selection against federal and state laws and regulations and investor requirements (i.e. sending letters as soon as loans become eligible if automation does not select a loan for a letter). Communicate research results to Default Internal Services (“DIS”) and other CAM departments as applicable. Test new letter generation logic, inclusive of developing non-routine complex report output with which to analyze. Document and maintain updated procedures reflective of compliance to regulations. Provide support during acquisitions including maintaining documentation for proof of testing and analysis of previous servicer correspondence compliance. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Complete other related duties as assigned.   Nature and Scope: This position interacts mainly with internal CAM departments.    Minimum Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 1 years' relevant work experience or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience Proficient PC skills with MS Office , SharePoint and Blackknight. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented with strong time management skills. Analytical ability and creative problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a project team.   Ideal Qualifications Preferred: Ability to interact with all levels of personnel Ability to work independently and function as a member of a project group 2 years of baking experience. Prior Default Mortgage experience highly preferred. Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.
