Job Description

Business Banking and Consumer Support Specialist II
Customer Asset Management

FUNCTION:
Provide operations support to various areas of Business Banking and Consumer Collections. Perform data entry, system maintenance, and monetary transactions. Complete requests within authority level.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform data-entry of various types of information, and from multiple sources (e.g., invoices, settlements); receive and verify accuracy of documents (e.g., titles).
Prepare and reconcile yearly 1099c’s and Tin Penalty reports.
Prepare various monthly business banking reports and associated task
Review monthly reports from various business units
Prepare ad hoc reports from systems, at management’s request and reconcile/correct as needed.
Prepare attorney referrals
Former Employee Accounts
GL, Check and overpayment transactions
Contact outside vendors (e.g., insurance companies) to gather and/or provide information on accounts.
Prepare, send and track claim forms.
Change the status of accounts.
Perform skip tracing
Lien Releases
Verify Bankruptcies
Validation of letters that are being sent
Creating and Updating Procedures
Various task assigned with Charge off of accounts.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.


NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position has potential customer contact or direct contact with Attorneys or Trustee, customers or other external vendors; mostly email correspondence with attorneys and/or other external vendors.

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Not Applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
A combined 2 years’ higher education and/or work experience, with a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Proficient PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email software.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
