Job Description

FUNCTION:
Support of the Account Opening program, participates in the research, gathering and analysis of information for defining features/functional requirements, designs, development and implementation of the final product.  Performs routine to moderately complex analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies.  Implements modifications to solve problems.  These functions are performed with general guidance from the Account Opening business delivery team.  Assists in day to day support activities.
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in addressing problems/issues of small to medium scope.  Analyzes information, determines feasible solutions and makes recommendations.
 
Assists in converting business requirements into user stories and works with Product Owners on prioritization activities.
 
Participates in the development of project analysis, presentations and plans
 
Participate in resolving issues arising from testing or implementation by identifying and documenting the issue,
 
Participate in post-implementation follow-up related to application changes by getting feedback from application owners and clients; researching and identifying potential solutions to resolve any resulting issues.
 
Develops a good understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations.  Maintains a good functional understanding of the supported application and its integrations.
 
Adheres to current standards and procedures and ensures all efforts are properly documented.
Willingness to learn and practice Agile project methodology and work within a multiple product line and business line environment.
 
Develops a professional level of communication and cooperation.
 
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
 
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
 
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
 
Complete other related duties as assigned

NATURE AND SCOPE:
The incumbent works under the general direction of a senior manager and maintains competency to work on most phases of requirements gathering, analysis and application support but requires instruction and guidance for other phases.
The incumbent possesses detailed functional knowledge of the supported application(s), product offerings to assist in the successful processing of the department on a day to day basis.
The incumbent interacts with technology personnel, external clients, product managers/owners and servicing teams.
The position is responsible for supporting business needs related to the development and design of the Account Opening program.
 
MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides guidance to junior analysts.
 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Analytical skills with the ability to understand development processes and technical concepts.
General knowledge of personal computers and the ability to effectively use word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Very familiar with what and how the supported application(s) functions are used by the client.
General awareness of the Bank’s application framework.
Demonstrates a good understanding of the business area’s functions and operational environment.
Possesses a broad understanding of the Bank and of the business unit’s role and how they fit into the organization.
Detail oriented, self-motivated; takes initiative to learn new skills and enhance overall knowledge.
Time management skills and organization skills.
Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.
Ability to work effectively with client personnel in various organizational positions.
Quickly grasps new concepts.
Asserts ideas, encourages teamwork and acts as a role model.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignments.
Project management skills.
Ability to lead or actively participate in vendor demonstrations, project presentations, design sessions, etc.
 
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge of Treasury Management Services Departments, policies and procedures.
