Business Systems Analyst V

Analyze requirements/ system enhancements, recommended design approach and alternative solutions - Understand and effectively translate regulatory, policy and procedural requirements into functional specifications - Create process maps, workflows, activity diagrams and use cases for various Due diligence processes performed within the BSA/AML landscape - Develop and consistently monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure project stays within scope - Advise on methods to improve business processes and business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. - Develop a thorough understanding of the BSA/AML team’s processes and operations and act as a subject matter expert for case management solution - Assist with the strategic planning and long-term direction of Enterprise Case management solution at the bank - Work closely with development team to ensure business requirements are accurate and clearly understood - Collaborate with Testing team to gather and organize test plans and test scripts based on functional specifications and work through defects and enhancements. - Perform gap analysis between business requirements and various vendor product offerings - Coordinate and assist with UAT testing with business stakeholders to ensure the product meets their business needs - Acts as a liaison between lines of business partners, BSA/AML teams, technical teams and vendors in the analysis, design, configuration and testing of case management system - Schedule and facilitate project team meetings, document and distribute meeting minutes as applicable - Manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking
Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge of BSA/AML/KYC and OFAC regulations - Experience with Case Management systems such as IBM or Detica or Actimize - Exposure to very complex large scale projects/programs - Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills. - Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills - Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel - Ability to work independently and function as a member of a project team - Familiarity with Project Management preferred / understanding of project life cycle - In-depth understanding of various software development lifecycles and methodologies such as waterfall, agile etc. Technical Skills: - Proficient personal computer skills to include spreadsheets, SharePoint, word-processing, Visio and database systems and other software utilized by the department. - Knowledge of and experience with SQL - Experience with Quality Center and automated testing tools - Experience creating screen mockups using SnagIt/Photoshop or other industry tools Education: SQL knowledge – querying at a good level – ability to write new – does a lot of root cause analysis – manual testing UAT testing Quality center for automated – agile methodology -
The position requires an individual with an advanced knowledge and detailed focus on the entire system to work on projects outside normal BAU. The position has direct interaction with internal business clients on a regular basis for complex projects. The position works independently with minimal supervision. The position provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.

Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 5 years’ operational/business analytics experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ operational/business analytics experience.
Ability to Write new SQL queries and modify existing for complex data extraction
UAT Testing experience
Experience with Quality Center
Agile work experience
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages.
Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.
Ability to effectively use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.
Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms.
Ability to understand business(es) supported and its’ terminology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong lateral thinking skills.
Proven presentation skills.
Ability to coordinate between Applications and business units.
Ability to drive project milestones and delivery dates.
Ability to recommend and implement systems solutions.

Subject matter expert in business with knowledge or experience utilizing application/system being supported.
Advanced understanding of applications supported with a sound knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications.
Good understanding of the Bank’s application framework.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
Ability to multitask for various components of complex projects.
Advanced knowledge and focus of the entire system to work on projects outside of normal BAU.
Action-oriented and pro-active.
