Job Description

Provide support to various Business Partners and the Retail Network including Branch Management, Market Operation Risk Analysts (MORAs) and Retail Risk Managers (RRMs) as Centralized Branch Operation's direct liaison by building rapport and including attending meetings representing the department as appropriate.
Review work for exception and escalating trends or suspicious activity to respected areas.
Complete sporadic review of all reconciliations to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Provide assistance and resolution to Branch Management/Retail Network for complex teller differences and branch expectations escalated to CBO.
Gather evidence related to internal fraud cases as requested from Business Partners.
Complete testing and control tasks as necessary.
Serve as liaison between co-workers, management and business partners.
Effectively communicate with departments and branches to resolve issues and affect change. Inform branches of outstanding high risk issues daily.
Participate in projects and new initiatives under manager's direction as needed.
Mentor and train less experienced staff on routine task and questions.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minim of 4 years’ banking or branch experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
Knowledge of branch procedures to include security, audits and internal controls
Self-motivated, well-organized individual with time management and prioritization skills
Understanding of credit/debit equality, reconciliation standards and general accepted accounting principles
In-depth understanding of all branch operations, policies and procedures including system front end and back end transaction processing and work flow
Proficient with personal computers and pertinent spreadsheet, word processing and email software, as well as Intranet applications
Ability to interact with all levels in organization
Ability to work under critical time constraints
