FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing operational and/or administrative support at the business/department level.
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with new fund onboarding efforts to ensure new plans are established within required guidelines and policies, and consistent with ERISA eligibility requirements.
Support the daily work flow of all communications through a centralized mailbox, including responding to new account setups, large trade communications, back office operations liaison, and general client request fulfillment.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed related to validating plan eligibility and plan onboarding.  Utilize best practices to successfully set-up all new client accounts in a timely and efficient manner
Efficiently evaluate and resolve customer service issues, obtaining help when necessary from other team members
Assist Collective Fund Administration team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations.  Keep abreast of business and market trends which may affect business department.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The position requires substantial interaction with both internal and external contacts in order to obtain pertinent information. 
The position acts as liaison between department and other business units on various projects.
The incumbent works independently under very limited supervision as well as a member or a project leader of a project team.
MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
N/A

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year’s project or support experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year’s project or support experience.
Proven analytical skills.
Proven time management skills.
Detail-oriented.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Minimum of 3 years’ prior departmental, financial services, fund accounting or banking industry experience.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
