Client Solutions Associate

Buffalo, NY

 

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for the administration of routine personal accounts. Includes client contact at the direction of manager. Primary point of contact/relationship lead for client. Daily contact with MTS clients to answer general inquiries or facilitate client requests. Process all transactions to include collection of critical documents, processing of cash disbursements, trades, account balances, establishing new accounts, facilitating client requests for discretionary distributions, terminations, etc., to ensure proper administrative management. Assists clients with their servicing needs and identifies opportunities to schedule follow-up appointments with their Financial Advisors.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare accurate and timely paperwork for daily transaction and maintenance requirements of client accounts. Verify account activity on a regularly determined basis.
Provide friendly, accurate and efficient service that exceeds client expectations
Understand document requirements needed to complete account maintenance requests.
Facilitate servicing requests with timely response and maintain ownership to task completion.
Enhance relationships by assessing client inquiries and effectively collaborate with internal business partners to offer appropriate solutions.
Effectively navigate multiple systems.
Foster client relationships. Proactively discuss with client team opportunities to rectify and/or enhance the client’s relationship with the company.
Document preparation and maintenance: routine account documents as well as documents needed for client meetings. Demonstrate the ability to interpret basic investment information in order to prepare client communications.
Provide support for Financial Advisors by greeting clients, managing telephone calls, sorting and delivering mail, maintaining supplies, scheduling appointments, maintaining appointment calendars for managers.
Recognize and minimize areas of risk for both firm and the client as it relates to processing activity.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Work directly with external & internal business partners to address and resolve standard customer processing requests. Act as liaison between client, and clearing firm, processing teams, and Financial Advisors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Obtain FINRA Series 99 within 120 days of employment.

Associates degree OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years higher education and/or work experience.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
Excellent communication, multitasking, and analytical skills
Ability to resolve customer issues utilizing critical thinking skills and communicate appropriate responses.
Knowledge to operate Window’s based programs which require intermediate computer skills
Well organized individual with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Knowledge of Pershing Platform
FINRA Series 6, 63 or 99
