Job Description

Position: Commercial Change Management & Communications Associate

Location: M&T Center, Buffalo NY

Function:
This position will be responsible for assuming the lead role in the assessment, planning, coordination, and implementation of defined projects that support the Commercial Bank sales teams. Represent the Sales Enablement team and/or Commercial Planning in cross functional, high visibility projects involving business partners outside of the department. Responsible for streamlining ongoing activities

Responsibilities:

  • Continually implement Commercial Bank Sales Enablement Strategy, aligning department roles and responsibilities and driving adoption across organization.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Commercial sales organization, including stages of the sales cycle and the tools sales reps use on a daily basis. Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect the business/department.
  • Directly impact new business development through creation and implementation of Sales Enablement content via SAVO and other platforms; includes impactful RFP responses, thought leadership, playbooks, etc. Ensure that content distribution via SAVO is consistent with other communication / distribution channels.
  • Lead coordination of communication process and messaging to Commercial Bank from all stakeholders, utilizing distribution channels including the Hub, Insider, Outlook, and Commercial Banking Exchange calls.
  • Take a lead role / Manage collaboration with internal partners on behalf of Commercial Sales teams; includes playbook development in support of Strategic Selling initiative, partnership with Business Intelligence team, and development of marketing plans for Commercial business lines in conjunction with Marketing & Communications Division.
  • Lead continuous improvement of existing processes and/or the development of new processes. Identify resources that can be utilized to support business operations or improve existing business processes. Present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Manage the planning, testing, and implementation of new projects, systems, and programs to achieve the short and long term business objectives and regulatory needs of the department and the Commercial Bank; coordinate on the design and execution of various projects for the promotion and maintenance of the business.
  • Perform complex analysis and judgment based work to derive meaningful insights and professionally communicate those insights to management and business partners.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members in order to achieve business results.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 4 years related business line experience or in lieu of a combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or work experience
Previous work leadership experience
Good knowledge of concepts w/in discipline basic knowledge of others
Acts as an advisor and coach to mentor junior team members. May provide direction and leadership to more junior staff
