Title: Commercial Loan Product Manager I

Basic Function:

Responsible for management of the Enterprise Relationship Management System (ERM) product.  Executes on the product strategy with business and technology partners including design, development, implementation, process, and change management.  Ensures product/services are efficient, profitable, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

Point of contact for maintaining ERM System Administrative functions based on business user needs.  Will work with business line users in a variety of roles including:

• Perform User Acceptance testing and production validation for approved product enhancements with a focus on improving the customer experience, mitigating risk, reducing errors and increase efficiencies. 

• Manage, coordinate and troubleshoot internal support escalation issues with Customer Service Team and Technology. 

• Represent the ERM product with key stakeholders and act in a liaison capacity with affected departments.

• Collaborate with Credit Lifecycle Management team to prioritize new features and understand how ERM will function in the future state environment

• Collaborate with technology to estimate and design new features

Play a key leadership role in design and development for ERM including:

• Work with Senior Product managers in writing of business requirements, ensuring end product meets business expectations and project goals

• Integrate and represent the business stakeholders in technology projects 

• Communicate key changes with stakeholders in CLM, Sales, Commercial Planning and Analysis, Credit, Audit and Compliance

• Collaborate with other Internal System Product Managers (CLAS/HUB/ePF) to understand impacts of any changes proposed.

Nature and Scope:

The position is responsible for managing a product line or the services for a major market segment. The position has extensive contact with other bank departments for the effective and profitable marketing of new products and the enhancement of existing products.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ proven commercial banking, credit, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience, or in lieu of a degree a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience.

• Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated financial analysis skills.

• Strong analytical skills.

Ideal Qualficiations Preferred:

• Master’s degree.

• 5 years’ proven commercial banking, credit, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience.

• Proven leadership experience.

• Knowledge of software programs utilized by department.

• Knowledge of internal applications by M&T’s Commercial and Business Banking groups ERM, CLAS, AFS, CLM, etc.

• Knowledge of nCino and Salesforce.com software programs
