Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Product Administrator


• Responsible for participating in the development and management of market strategies and programs for assigned new and existing bank products.

Position Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of a market strategy and the establishment of a market objective for each product in order to maximize profitability and meet customer needs.

• Review new developments on company markets, participating in the evaluation of potential products. May recommend the development of new products or the modification of existing products.

• Coordinate the administration of various bank products ensuring procedures are developed and programs work effectively.

• Maintain an awareness of new trends and developments in marketing and the bank’s products.

• May perform various financial analyses to ensure budget objectives are met and all products are within compliance guidelines.

• Perform special projects or assignments as requested by management.

• Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope:

• The position involves working with advertising and public relations personnel to develop effective programs to sell products.

• The incumbent has extensive contact with internal personnel and external contacts such as vendors and professional business associations.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Finance, plus 3 years’ banking related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, with a minimum of 3 years’ banking related experience.

• Proficient PC skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner.

Ideal Qualifications Preferred:

• Thorough knowledge of the software programs utilized by the department.
