Job Description

The Opportunity:
Responsible for managing an assigned portfolio for open or non-performing assets, mitigating loss situations and reducing potential losses to the Bank.

Primary Responsibilities:
Handles most complex accounts with respect to CWCOT 2nd Chance program.  Work independently to develop sales leads and proper markets for the sale of collateral. 
Initiate direct contact with business partners and vendors to ensure services provided are meeting predetermined SLA's. 
Possess enhanced authority to negotiate sale agreements. 
Participate in loss prevention by employing advanced strategies that provide adequate protection for the Bank with respect to its' interest in the collateral securing the loan, while maximizing the cost containment opportunities. 
Review collateral condition and establish asset value. 
Negotiate sale with prospective buyers and conclude sales transaction with limited oversight. 
Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations. 
Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect business department. 
Perform other related assignments / projects as requested by management.  The incumbent works under very limited supervision. 
The incumbent has internal contact with other departments and externally with customers and service providers.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Associate's degree or in lieu of degree two years' relevant work experience.  Minimum two year's collections experience.
Minimum two years' vehicle remarketing or REO sales.
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum three years' collections experience and four years' vehicle remarketing or REO sales. 
Prior departmental experience. 
One year real estate sales or automotive repair experience. 
Good PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. 
Good understanding of collections servicing systems. 
Good understanding of asset valuation software and websites. 
In depth understanding of the bank's general operations and systemic functionality.  Strong analytical abilities and problem solving. 
Functional expert in the specific area of specialization (recovery, repossession, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or REO process). 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
Excellent knowledge of state and federal regulations and bank policies. 
Very strong work ethic and ability to work independently. 
Bilingual not required, but a plus. 
Demonstrated ability to provide direction and lead others.  Motivated, team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
