Job Description

Function:
Works closely with Fund Administration Management and the Fund Administration team. Oversees matters related to financial reporting, regulatory matters, accounting policy, internal control documentation, issue resolution and ad-hoc reporting and business development requests.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Fund Administration for all strategic initiatives, such as system enhancements and technology implementations.
Manage team operational projects.
Plan and coordinate implementation of all operational steps to implement fund launches, mergers and liquidations and other business initiatives.
Ensure documentation of required accounting policies.
Identify and implement improvement opportunities. Make recommendations/implement new workflow, process or system enhancements to continually enhance operational efficiency.
Assist Sales Team with driving new business, including participating in on-site sales efforts.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field and a minimum of 5 years’ related work experience in Collective Fund or Mutual Fund Administration, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ related work experience in Collective Fund or Mutual Fund Administration
Experience participating on sales efforts, training junior staff members on complex financial concepts, and assisting with internal audits and regulatory exams
Experience with developing and onboarding new products
Experience communicating with senior management and external parties
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
Minimum of 9 years’ related work experience in Collective Fund or Mutual Fund Administration
