Fund Onboarding/Project Manager Fund Administration-  Baltimore Maryland
FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing complex, highly specialized analytical, technical and operational support at the business or department level. Act as project leader on complex and highly visible projects.
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position is responsible for support in a variety of functions to include but not limited to the following:
Partners with Sales team in the development and maintenance of potential, new and existing investment manager relationships for Wilmington Trust’s collective investment funds business. Provides product update documentation as requested. Coordinates requests for information regarding existing and new funds. 
Oversees and project manages the onboarding of unique and customized collective fund relationships as assigned.
Assists in all operational and administration aspects of launching new collective investment funds to include, but not limited to, working with investment managers to obtain all necessary information, obtaining CUSIPs, EINs and other relevant fund identifiers, coordinating fund setup with third party custodians and accountants, completing documentation related to foreign market account openings, and updating trading platform agreements.
Assists Sales Resource Team with updates to sales materials, pitch books and new business requests.
Acts as Relationship Manager to select partners.
Research and gather business and financial information regarding business results. Perform complex analyses to support business decisions. Provide feedback to management regarding results. Make recommendations on findings to management.
Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations. Keep abreast of business and market trends which may affect business department.
Participate in the planning and implementation of new projects, products, programs, and plans to achieve short and long term business objectives; develop project plans.
Act as project leader in the execution of various complex and highly visible projects for the promotion and maintenance of the business.
May have direct management responsibilities.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
 
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The position requires substantial interaction with both internal and external contacts in order to obtain pertinent information. The position acts as liaison between department and other business units on various projects.
The incumbent works independently under very limited supervision as well as a member or a project leader of a project team.
Serves as resource for junior employees.
MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
May have direct management responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 7 years’ related experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving skills.

Ability to function as a project leader.

 

 
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Financial services, public accounting or mutual fund accounting and administration experience
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
Ability to work independently and function as a member of a project team.
Detail oriented.
Excellent knowledge of Windows and PC software programs.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
Experience in fund administration processes
Highly skilled proficiency in the use of spreadsheet, database, graphing, presentation, and department specific software, with a working knowledge of financial models.
