Support the lead technician of group benefits at M&T Insurance Agency and provide clients data and reporting regarding strategic Health & Benefits consulting and advisory services.
In conjunction with the lead benefits consultant, ensure client revenue goals attainment through renewals and expanded business and in conjunction with the Sales Team assist with new business development.
Assist with client objectives and priorities, and communicate them to team members
Participate in and assist with strategic planning for clients, including action planning, renewal planning, and management objective setting.
Extract information and draw conclusions from data to interpret trends and anticipate potential problems for clients.
Design and manage client clinical analysis and data sharing process
Identify, design, recommend and implement efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefit challenges.
Assist with the retention and development of large health care clients.
Report and analyze on strategies implemented to manage cost and utilization for large clients, and self-funded clients.
Provide working knowledge of statistics for account team and clients for claims management.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree six years' combined higher education and related work experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving skills.

Strong data interpretation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and curiosity to dive into data.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business
Ability to obtain State Brokers License
Working knowledge of Group Benefits insurance products and marketing
Knowledge of medical insurance plans and ancillary lines such as dental, vision, flexible spend account (FSA), health care reimbursement accounts (HRAs), health care savings account (HSAs) and employer cafeteria plans
Previous analytics experience at an insurance company, or similar group health underwriting experience at a brokerage, insurance or financial institution.
