Institutional Client Services Client Onboarding Specialist Wilmington, DE  
FUNCTION: Responsible for core client onboarding activities and performing all compliance functions and administrative functions associated with new accounts in Wealth & Institutional Services Division (WISD)-Institutional, including all BSA/AML requirements, reviewing and understanding complex transaction documents governing all types of Global Capital Market (GCM) and/or Retirement Services account relationships, establishing and coding all new accounts on the appropriate systems to accurately reflect GCM's and Retirement's responsibilities under the governing documents and in accordance with account set up standards, participate in initial account reviews and indexing of account related documents for use by the Business Line as the deployment of imaging technology in WISD.  Interface with internal and external resources, including legal counsel, to accomplish assigned responsibilities. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively participate as a member of WISD's Account Onboarding and Support Team responsible to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations during the business acceptance process, including Customer Identification Program/Know Your Customer (CIP/KYC), consistently establish and code accounts on applicable systems in accordance with applicable standards, coordinate effective initial account reviews, and administer the document imaging process in WISD, including the imaging and indexing of account related documents.  This includes reviewing and comprehending a wide variety of complex legal documents governing GCM and Retirements accounts, translating those requirements into the appropriate systems, setting up accounts to reflect the bank's responsibilities.  This also includes an understanding of all new business compliance issues and the ability to apply the compliance rules to different situations. Work with other Section staff and Business Line staff, including Sales, Administration and Operations, to identify, prioritize, and process significant volumes of new business, compliance, account set-up and account review related work. Proactively identify improvements and efficiencies within areas of responsibility. Work with Section Manager and others on special projects as assigned.  Assume additional responsibilities as requested. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. NATURE AND SCOPE: Responsible for performing core client onboarding and all compliance functions and administrative functions associated with new accounts in GCM.    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years corporate trust, capital markets business experience or related experience,  or in lieu of a degree , a combined 7 years higher education and or work experience including 3 years corporate trust, capital markets, retirements or related experience. Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the use of personal computers and software packages (such as Microsoft Office) and a strong level of proficiency in the use of other software used by the Department. Demonstrated technical knowledge and ability to read and understand complex documents and translate those documents into business and system requirements.  Strong analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills.  Clear, concise and effective communicator, both written and oral, internally and externally. Demonstrates ownership of his/her responsibilities and accountability for one's performance. Knowledge of Structured Finance and/or Capital Markets businesses, or Retirements.
