Institutional Retirement Services Relationship Manager l Buffalo, NY  
 
BASIC FUNCTION: The responsibility of the Institutional Retirement Services Relationship Manager I is to provide account management oversight of retirement and other employee benefit accounts.  Working in a team environment, the position provides account specific administration support and client services to the business.  Concentration on quality and accuracy of daily work, minimizing risk and relationship management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Submit activity for processing based on client directives in a timely and accurate manner. Respond to or annotate compliance reports directed by senior Relationship Managers. Submit annual account reviews in a timely manner for assigned accounts or as directed by senior Relationship Managers. Serve as primary/secondary contact for assigned/coverage team accounts.  Resolve basic matters and inquiries. Maintain client communications on regulatory, legal, accounting and trust matters Complete client billing and resolve aged receivables timely.  Work with senior Relationship Managers as needed. Keep abreast of industry trends and understand regulatory items as communicated by senior Relationship Managers and/or Management. Provide customer service to retirement plan participants and pensioners.  Resolve basic matters and inquiries. Adhere to division, client and alliance service standards. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with company or regulatory standards and policies. Complete other job related duties as assigned. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years experience or in lieu of a degree a minimum of four years of relevant work experience. Demonstrates a strong level of proficiency in the use of personal computers and software packages, such as Word Processing and Spreadsheet systems. Detail oriented and excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good organization skills. Problem resolution and strong decision making skills.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Bachelor degree in Finance or Business. Retirement or Trust Administration experience.
