FUNCTION: 
Remotely supports the Sales team and sales process in the distribution of Managed Account products (primarily Portfolio Architect). 
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide expertise to support the distribution of Portfolio Architect within M&T Securities. 
Cultivate relationships with business partners, along with the M&T Securities sales force and other internal support areas such as Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Strategy, and Business management.
Provide support in mutual fund, portfolio management and rebalancing activities to identify potential process improvements and ideal communication vehicles.  Serve as primary liaison to portfolio management and other investment teams.
Generate reporting and prepare presentations for various levels of management.
Serve as liaison among M&T Securities Sales, internal sales partners, operations and external vendors to support efficient and effective processing of the Portfolio Architect product.
Develop and conduct product training and presentations. Help coordinate training efforts with the Home Office Training team to ensure training effectiveness.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.
 
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The position functions as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide remote support to Financial Advisors and internal sales partners to ensure an efficient and profitable distribution channel for Managed Accounts products.
 
MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Not Applicable
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Associate’s degree and minimum of 2 years proven wealth-related product, administration and/or operations experience, or in lieu of degree a combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years proven wealth-related product, administration and/or operations experience
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent spreadsheet and presentation software
 
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics
Experience presenting investment or Managed Accounts products to Financial Advisors and/or clients
Investment product sales or support experience
State Life, A&H Managed Accounts License(s)
Proven success in problem analysis and resolution, consultative selling techniques and broad market perspective
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, computer, etc,
Frequently communicates with internal/external parties. 
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
