Job Description

The Opportunity:
Responsible for marketing assignments for Mortgage Loss Mitigation Department which may include the development, creation, and implementation of default letters, department website, procedures and strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for a marketing function dependent upon assigned department; loss mitigation.
Receive requests for highly visible and strategic informational, promotional and marketing support (campaigns, letters, flyers, websites etc.)
Develop, create and specify layout recommendations for manager approval to cost effectively meet the objectives of the investors, compliance department and manager.
Prepare, produce and implement mortgage loss mitigation support materials and procedures.
Assist in the design of market research projects and in the determination of the effectiveness of mortgage default letters, campaigns and procedures.
Collect, evaluate and analyze data on customers, and product and services markets to improve customer response rates to workout packages and make recommendations to senior management.
Design sampling procedures, construction of questionnaires, and tabulation of specifications. 
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope:
The position is involved in the research and analysis of loss mitigation products and services to maintain and promote the bank’s programs.
The position has interaction with both internal bank personnel and external contacts such as vendors and industry business associations.
The position is responsible for using independent judgment and discretion in determining and recommending what marketing support is appropriate for request and in developing materials and programs.  The type of program created can affect the bank’s business in a specific area if the materials do not reflect the character and culture of an area.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelors’ degree in Marketing or related field or in lieu of a degree 4 years relevant work experience or in lieu of a degree, minimum 6 years relevant experience
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in Marketing or related field.
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
Knowledge or experience in loss mitigation or default servicing
Thorough knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and other software programs utilized by department.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Strong analytical ability.
