Job Title: Merchant Services Implementation Manager
Basic Function: The Merchant Services Implementation Manager is responsible for the management, planning, and coordination of the Merchant Services Implementation and Operations department. Manager is accountable for staff to ensure proper operational and implementation processes are followed during onboarding of new merchant clients.  Manager provides technical, functional, and operational expertise in department work policies, procedures, and staff support.  Manager makes recommendations concerning staff performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, disciplinary action, and terminations. Oversees training and development of direct reports.
Essential Position Responsibilities: • Responsible for the planning, leadership, problem resolution, analysis, and reporting for assigned department.
• Responsible for area overseeing the implementation of new merchant account setups.
• Responsible for area overseeing the verification of new merchant account setups and maintenance of existing merchant account setups.
• Responsible for area overseeing the training and installation of new merchant account setups.
• Responsible for area overseeing reject reporting for merchant portfolio.
• Manage various third party vendor relationships.
• Plan and implement new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient.  Implement recommendations for department policy changes and creates new unit policy and procedures.  Consults and communicates with operations staff.
• Responsible for providing the lead on multiple projects at the department or division level.  May represent the department on outside projects.
• Contributed to strategic planning and short-term initiatives. 
Nature and Scope: • The position is responsible for the day to day and strategic direction of the department and requires knowledge of business, applicable regulations and affiliated technology.
• The incumbent must have the ability to plan, organize and supervise work of staff (supervisors, operations managers and support staff ) and produce results.
• The position works with uncertainty with discretionary solutions, possesses moderate risk to organization.
Supervisory Responsibility: Responsible for multiple direct reports at both a supervisor and / or operations manager level. Oversee a department of 15 employees.
Minimum Qualifications Required: • Bachelors Degree or in lieu of degree four years relevant experience.
• Minimum four years operations experience.
• Minimum four years supervisory/management experience.
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
• Masters Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable products, systems and workflows.
• Proficient in software utilized in department to include Microsoft Office.
• Some knowledge of process improvement methodology and business process management techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work individually as well as a member of a team.
• Self-motivated, well-organized individual.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignments.
• Ability to function professionally at many different levels (clients, management, and peers).
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary for business partner relationships within and outside organization.
• Knowledge of bank strategic vision and mission with ability to link specific department/division mission.
• Knowledge of bank-wide policies and procedures and responsible area.
