Job Description

FUNCTION:

Provide semi to non-routine system personal computer and peripheral support to Mortgage, Consumer Lending, and Consumer Asset Management users.  Act in a liaison capacity between assigned department and Technology personnel for application issues.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide personal computer support to assigned department; including the set up, tear down, and moving of personal computer equipment as needed.

Installs and configures new software applications as needed and assists in debugging and resolving any related workstation issues.

Participates in the support of new systems to include but not limited to testing, procedures and implementation of the Windows 10 operating system.

Acts in a liaison capacity between the assigned department and Technology personnel to resolve workstation or application issues.

Assists M&T's Help Desk with software and hardware incident resolution.  Assists with the setup of multifunction devices and printers.  Orders new workstations, inventories existing equipment, and arranges the disposal of old equipment.

Responsible for performing tasks in a manner that are compliant with applicable laws and regulations and / or that serve to help the company be in compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the business line the position supports.

Perform other related assignments as requested by management.

Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The position is responsible for semi-routine or non-routine projects within established parameters.

The incumbent works under general supervision.

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

N/A

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems, Finance or Business or equivalent work experience.

Minimum three years’ experience required.

Good working knowledge of PC, client-server and mainframe systems.

Strong familiarity with Microsoft office and other software utilized by department as well as experience with the Windows 10 PC operating system.

Familiarity in programming languages utilized by department.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong follow up and communication skills.

Ability to communicate important information and focus on clients’ requirements

Capacity to work in fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and work in team structure. 

General knowledge of departmental structure, products, processes, and operations.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision on assigned projects.  Ability to multi-task; working on multiple projects or incidents concurrently. Project management and systems analysis skills a plus. Experience with Windows 10 personal computer implementations a plus.
