Job Description

Basic Function

Responsible for the preparation of mortgage closing paperwork, the computing of tax escrows, funding sheet and initial tax account statements. Must adhere to the requirements of federal registration under the SAFE Act.

 

Position Responsibilities

Compile morning reports and input daily closed loans and cancellations in order to ensure accurate preparation of closing reports.

Verify and input fees, payoff figures, refunds and other related funding information.

Control checks for funding department and ensure proper audit procedures are followed.

Prepare escrow information including verifying due dates, collecting pertinent information from tax bills and entering information.

Perform other related duties as requested.

Incumbent works under general supervision.

Communication with various assessors, tax collectors and closing agents is required.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining federal registration requirements outlined in the SAFE Act.

Internal contact with various bank departments and personnel.

 

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience.

Three (3) to four (4) years experience in real estate taxes and mortgage.

General knowledge of PC software and its applications.

Good written and oral communication skills.
