Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:
Liaison for the gathering of information for submission of loans for Closing Disclosure (CD) Issuance. Collaborate with applicable parties to meet target close date through time management of tasks and pipeline reporting. Ensure accuracy of data being submitted for CD Issuance: homeowners, taxes, fees, payoffs and applicable invoices for third party fees. Communicate with borrower(s) and notaries. 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in closing a transaction, from the customer, lender, loan officer, post-closing, mortgage accounting, funding and co-workers to ensure a seamless closing experience.
Work with various internal departments as well as external organizations such as county clerks' office, and lenders to obtain closing related documentation or obtain necessary information needed to complete a closing (i.e., payoffs, subordination’s, release’s, tax, title, homeowners/flood information).
Perform a thorough and accurate review of the file to ensure the loan is in compliance with State, Federal and Underwriter guidelines. This also includes but is not limited to reviewing homeowners, flood, title and tax related documents. 
Review system of record information to ensure CD the proper preparation of figures for the CD or HUD can be prepared and that all documentation submitted for CD Issuance is complete and accurate.
Proactively work with lender to ensure a smooth and seamless closing.
Evaluate close dates throughout process to ensure process is on target to meet those dates and ensure proper communication is being done to applicable parties if close date has to be changed.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Maintain LSS internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the LSS brand.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Work closely with both Internal and External Customers such as co-workers, borrower(s) and Settlement Agents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Associate’s degree plus a minimum of 1 year prior business experience or a minimum of 1 year combined closing experience and customer service experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined 3 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year prior business experience or a minimum of 1 year combined closing experience and customer service experience.
Strong PC skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and email software.
Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided.
Versatility and flexibility working within an ever changing fast paced mortgage environment.
Ability to adapt to new policies and procedures to improve processes and workflow.
Ability to function within time constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Strong work ethic, reliable and dependable.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Prior Mortgage experience in Mortgage Closing whether at a Lender, Title Company or Settlement Agent’s office.
Solid knowledge of Department software.
Knowledge of Product, Investor and Compliance Requirements.
