Netscaler Technical Engineer
Harrisburg, PA
This position is for a Netscaler Engineer who would be responsible for the engineering, implementation, and maintaining the Bank's Citrix Netscaler infrastructure. Responsibilities: The candidate will configure and maintain complex load balancing configurations across multiple datacenters working closely with security, network, and application support teams to determine and implement Application Delivery requirements. Responsible for working with clients to ensure proper server monitoring and failover processes are in place. Responsible for working with other Citrix teams to ensure the Bank’s Citrix product set is providing optimal service as well as developing new services as required. The position will be responsible for all aspects of Citrix Netscaler support including software updates and upgrades, backup and recovery and capacity planning. Work with application and development teams to troubleshoot application issues.
Technical Skills:
Experience with maintaining a mission critical, multi-layer geographically distributed Citrix Netscaler environment which provides application delivery services for external and internal applications. Experience with Server Monitoring and Load Balancing, Content switching and SSL offload techniques Experience with implementing and maintaining Citrix Global Server Load Balancing configurations. Experience with Citrix Application Firewall Experience with Citrix Access Gateway, Reverse Proxy and SSLVPN Experience with scripting and task automation using common scripting tools such as PERL or VB Experience with creating and maintaining technical documentation. Proven experience troubleshooting network communications issues and reading and analyzing sniffer trace files to determine the root cause of application problems and failures. Must be familiar with common network and firewall technologies, architecture and design such as TCP/IP SNMP, Netflow and general network management. Knowledge of DNS and DHCP operations, support, and troubleshooting Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Lucent VitalQIP a strong plus Experience with F5 a strong plus Certification in Citrix NetScaler desired 
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years’ combined higher education and/or experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture
Strong understanding of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, vendor best practices, IT Service Management and systems design

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design and/or development for complex applications
Ability to translate complex business/functional requirements into structured high quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches

Demonstrated advanced technical and analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Verifiable knowledge and advanced expertise in industry and / or vendor technologies
Ability to meet with clients of varying levels to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements, work closely with integrators, developers, and testers in the fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others in team environment
Ability to use effective facilitation skills and techniques to elicit and review requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders and group size
Understanding of how the people, processes and technology within an organization interact in relationships and patterns to create a feasible solution on projects of medium to high complexity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective influencing skills
Process-oriented, logical thinker
Strong knowledge of server/client and virtual technologies
Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision
