Responsible for the development and delivery of organizational change management strategies and plans for high-priority, complex projects with significant change impacts affecting three or more business lines or functional areas. Responsible for directing or guiding OCM team members, M&T change resources or external consultants who serve in change management roles. Focus is on the people side of change, including changes to processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. Drive faster employee adoption and long-term change sustainability  increasing benefit realization and ROI.

Lead change management at the Bankwide level by driving the advancement of change management methodologies, capabilities and skills. Advise on enterprise change management strategy.

Lead a team of change management professionals to drive the adoption and value realization of Bank strategic initiatives and Key Priorities. Partner with other groups instrumental in leading change as well as preferred change management consulting vendors


For high-impact, bank-wide, strategic initiatives, may serve as change management lead. Apply structured change management approach and tools to develop change strategies and plans to support the adoption of large-scale, complex change initiatives.

Serve has primary OCM liaison with DRIVE leadership, TB&O leadership, Project Management Governance and executive leadership. For enterprise strategic projects, may serve as the primary liaison to the change sponsor, project manager, leadership, overall project team, and stakeholders. Provide leadership to enhance change effectiveness.


Ensure that change initiatives have the appropriate OCM budget and resources allocated to support the scope of change. Oversee multiple change project schedules, associated budgets, and resources. Analyze the volume of change across multiple projects in different parts of the organization. Recommend project sequencing to address capacity concerns.


Build and maintain a variety of mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships that advance Bankwide change management effectiveness and capability with a focus on senior and executive leadership levels as well as with strategic external partners.

Provide oversight and coaching on a variety of change assessments (stakeholder assessment, change impact analyses, and change readiness).


At an enterprise level, identify and analyze cultural barriers to change. Recommend strategies that support a cultural change. Provide oversight and coaching on effective communications strategies and plans. Provide oversight and leadership guidance on training strategies and plans.  May manage external training development and delivery resources.


Identify and implement measures and metrics to demonstrate an integrated view of the results and benefits of change management bank-wide.

Provide oversight and coaching on effective change sustainability and business transition plans.


Quickly adapt to new projects and stakeholders when the subject matter is unfamiliar

Lead and direct the expansion, integration, and maintenance of organizational change management processes and competencies across the Bank. Stay current on change management industry best practices and apply to M&T processes as appropriate.

Serve as internal change management expert. Provide change leadership coaching as appropriate. Provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities for change management practitioners as well as project and program managers. Actively lead a change management community of practice. 



Bankwide Transformation is a Center of Excellence in the Corporate Service division responsible for providing Program/Project Management, Process Reengineering, and Change Management services across the bank. The team focuses on large strategic efforts that impact multiple divisions.   As such, this position is responsible for providing Change Management  that will drive learning and engagement that supports the Bank’s goals and contributes to ensuring that business cases are realized.
Bachelor’s degree, plus a minimum of 5 years’ strategic communication experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ strategic communication experience. 
High attention to detail and solid organizational and project management skills. 
Strong sense of urgency, high degree of initiative and ability to work with cross-functional teams. 
Master’s Degree. 
Demonstrated complex decision making with a results orientation. 
Strong customer service focus. 
Strong communication skills. 
Ability to interact/influence all levels of personnel throughout the organization.
