Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION
This position is responsible for leading significant process improvement projects and initiatives for individual lines of business within the bank. Uses tools from Six Sigma, LEAN, Project Management and Change Management to consult with the business to develop actionable recommendations to improve processes and programs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead process improvement initiatives primarily impacting one division or function using the appropriate continuous improvement tools. Efforts will be focused on reducing costs, cycle time, errors, risk, as well as generating new revenue or customers

Prepare recommendations for presentation to senior management for the prioritization and execution of process re-engineering efforts

Develop project plans and/or execution framework for assigned activities

Regularly communications project status, issues and risks to project sponsor

Insure sustainable measurement systems for key deliverables are in place for each project

Develop business case and project benefits and monitor actual results against projected benefits

Will have responsibility for coordinating teams of up to 20 individuals across multiple functions and levels of the organization

May have coaching and mentoring responsibilities for Process Analyst or Six Sigma Green Belts

May support larger strategic project/process initiatives working under the direction of Process Improvement managers/manager process re-engineering portfolio

Complete other related duties as assigned.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Manages and executes Process Re-engineering projects impacting individual lines of business to improve efficiency, reduce expenses and provide improved service to customers.

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Mentors junior team members 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, finance, or business discipline and a minimum of 2 years of process improvement experience

Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean (LSS) certified

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong problem solving skills

Ability to work individually as well as a member of a team

Self-motivated, results-driven and well organized

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints in support of various assignments
Strong facilitation skills.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree in a technical, finance, or business discipline and 4 years of Process Improvement experience

Financial Services experience

Previous management experience

Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
