Job Description

Basic Function:
The position is responsible for analyzing and correcting process and service delivery problems with the purpose of improving efficiency, decreasing costs, and improving service.

Assists senior analysts to manage organized process improvement efforts throughout the division; cofacilitates process teams and presentations.  Uses quality improvement tools and techniques such as flow charts, run chart development, and pareto chart development and interpretation, to develop and implement customer-focused action plans. Coordinates employee communication. Trains departments' staff members to implement and track results.  Evaluates and documents workflow processes.  Establishes and/or programs PC-based tracking mechanisms, process enhancements.  Researches and analyzes existing processes to identify appropriate performance measurement points.  Tracks and analyzes data, developing measurements at a meaningful and actionable level for all processes within the division.  Designs and distributes corresponding reports.  Analyzes results of performance measures to identify process improvement initiatives; develops new and creative resolutions and approaches to problems.  Performs other duties as requested by management.  Interacts professionally with various staff, supervisory, and managerial levels to include senior management.  Assists in development of junior analysts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent in work experience).  Minimum of 5 years experience.  Excellent PC skills to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Allclear, Access, Minitab or equivalent statistical software.  Ability to navigate the Internet for research purposes.  Solid understanding of statistics and the interpretation of statistical data.  Analytical and evaluative thinking to develop new and creative application to problems.  Management skills to plan, organize, assign, execute, and review work for a group of employees or a department, including performance determination of staff, requirements, and recommendation of salary increases.  Strong analytical, presentation, and communication (written and verbal).  Strong understanding of Consumer Lending and its functional areas.  Detail-oriented.  Works well with diverse groups of people and processes.  Can handle multiple projects simultaneously.M&T Bank Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
