Project Manager I, Retail Banking

Basic Function:

Responsible for the management and coordination of activities related to the successful planning, documenting, testing, and implementation of retail projects.  This person will collaborate with all stakeholders to escalate issues and risks, prioritize features, and ensure the projects are completed on time and within budget. 



-  Establish project deliverables - Develop Project Plan, Forecast and Schedule

-  Record detailed customer project features and user stories, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter. 

-  Work with business leads and product owners to prioritize the backlog

-  Develop the project organization chart, communication plan, risk plan, rollout/release strategy documents.

-  Implement approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impacts of risks on the project.

-  Work collaboratively with business partners within project team and outside the team impacted by the project outcomes.


Nature and Scope:

Under direct supervision of a more senior Project Manager, a Portfolio Manager, or a Program Manager, manages a small project or work stream of a larger project.

Responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).  Must be familiar with the project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. 


Minimum Qualifications:

1 to 3 years Project Management and 4 years professional experience


Bachelors degree or equivalent in experience.


Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) or Project Management Professional (PMP®) preferred

Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings and brainstorming sessions.


Ideal Qualifications

Basic understanding of the principles of Agile and Design Thinking.
