Job Description

The Opportunity:
This position is an integral role within our property preservation team that will assist in review of day to day functions, along with coaching associates and providing feedback to assist in their overall performance.   In addition the incumbent of this role will be responsible to review and update procedures and identify and assist in the rectifying any procedural gaps.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Conduct gap analysis reviews that require procedural and operational process changes.
-Perform equity analysis for charge off reviews to GSEs/investors and M&T Bank.
-Review state regulatory bulletins that would impact departmental compliance risks and recommend, review and implement processes and procedures.
-Review and appeal Freddie Mac Notice of Defects related to property damages. Manage the Freddie Mac distressed property process.
-Participate in weekly conference calls with vendors
-Create and update departmental procedures.
-Complete required Audit and compliance requirements for 3rd party servicers and CAM business controls/ ROQA and Corporate Compliance.                                                                                                                                         
-Provide on the job coaching to team of approximately 3-4 FTE                          
-Assist in the training of new hires                                                                
-Provide support to management team in project planning and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
*Associates degree or in lieu of degree two years relevant work experience. 

•Minimum two years collections and/or loss mitigation experience
*Minimum two years Property Preservation experience

•Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word

•Understanding of collections servicing systems 

•Proven analytical ability and problem solving skills 

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

•Very strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work independently

•Demonstrated ability to provide direction and lead others 

•Motivated, team player with a positive and friendly attitude

Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Minimum three years collections and/or loss mitigation experience and four years’ property preservation experience
* Prior departmental experience
*In depth understanding of the Bank’s general operations and systemic functionality
* Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills
* Functional expert in the area of property preservation
* Excellent knowledge of state and federal regulations and Bank policies
