SCCM Engineer
Buffalo, NY
SCCM Engineer to join their Enterprise Mobility Services team. The person would be responsible for SCCM lifecycle, implementation, design, deployment, release and packaging. This position requires an individual with SCCM expertise in Windows 7/10 Deployment processes, Image Development and deployment with (Microsoft Distribution Toolkit (MDT) and SCCM On Screen Display (OSD), Task Sequences, Windows Software Update Services (WSUS), Distribution points, user state migration, and experience with PowerShell scripting, application deployment processes (In-line upgrades, pre-stage media, PXE Boot, USB delivered).
Performs and oversees basic to complex systems analysis, design and programming efforts. Plays a key role as an individual contributor on complex projects. Maintains an excellent functional understanding of the supported application(s). Must be able to direct and monitor junior resources, plus coordinate development tasks on small to large scope projects. Prepares and manages the technical component of project plans. Participates with systems analysts, operations staff and IT staff in overall systems development direction from technical analysis to user acceptance testing. Prepares and reviews test data and executes detailed test plans. Performs any required debugging. Evaluates and understands complex interrelationships and effects among programs, interfacing applications and platforms. Provides highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist business units in meeting strategic objectives. Prepares thorough, clear technical specifications and functional specifications, and updates systems documentation. Prepares charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems. Reviews documentation prepared by more junior technicians. Prepares and reviews assessments to include required tasks, estimated time frames and effort for any scope project. Maintains efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications. Recommends new technology, policies or processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies. May lead or participate in technical evaluations of vendor software. Performs other related duties or projects as required, which may include playing a lead role in due diligence, cost/benefit analysis or business study activities. Follows and promotes the use of development standards and procedures. Maintains a good understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, operations and strategic direction. May assist in developing expense and capital budgets. Monitors employee performance and may prepare annual appraisals.
Basic Function:
Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions and highly technical direction in the development of new or existing programs to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. Acts as a principal application designer for major modifications effectively using analytical skills, technical skills, available technology and tools in the evaluation of client requirements and processes. Provides solutions that are technologically sound. May perform day to day support activities and special projects. Often directs and monitors the activities of junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two years college with at least eight years involvement in systems analysis and application development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SCCM expertise in Windows 7/10 Deployment processes
Image Development and deployment with (Microsoft Distribution Toolkit (MDT)
Windows Software Update Services (WSUS), Distribution points, user state migration, and experience with PowerShell scripting, application deployment processes (In-line upgrades, pre-stage media, PXE Boot, USB delivered).
Must possess a very good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and databases.
Demonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution.
Detailed knowledge of the Banks application framework.
Solid understanding of vendor hardware configurations and software concepts both in the current environment and future technologies.
Ability to lead or actively participate in technical walkthroughs.
Capable of quickly learning new technical skills.
