Job Description

Function:

M&T Bank’s Commercial Sales Enablement Team manages and delivers the tools, content, and information that allow our Commercial Bank sales force to most effectively meet the needs of customers and prospects.  With a keen understanding of how Marketing and Communications can positively impact the selling process, our group is a key strategic partner in driving revenue generation for the Commercial Bank.
The Senior Commercial Sales Enablement Associate is a pivotal member of our team, responsible for continually implementing the Commercial Bank’s Sales Enablement Strategy.  In supporting our sales teams, he or she will work across several projects/programs to produce coordinated and integrated content and communications, interfacing regularly with partners including the M&T Marketing & Communications Division.



Responsibilities:

  • Directly impact new business development by supporting the creation and implementation of Sales Enablement content via SAVO/Seismic and other platforms, including thought leadership pieces, playbooks, etc.
  • Ensure that all content is properly maintained for accuracy and compliance
  • Continually implement the Commercial Bank Sales Enablement Strategy, helping to align department roles and responsibilities while driving adoption across the organization
  • Participate / take a lead role in collaboration with internal partners on behalf of Commercial Sales teams, including playbook development in support of Strategic Selling initiative, partnership with Business Intelligence team, and development of marketing plans
  • Drive continuous improvement of existing process and/or development of new processes, identifying resources that can be utilized to support business operations or to improve existing business processes
  • Perform complex analysis and judgment based work to drive meaningful insights and professionally communicate those insights to management and business partners
  • Maintain a working understanding of the Commercial sales organization, including stages of the sales cycle and the tools sales reps use on a daily basis
  • Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect the business/department
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand
  • Complete other related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 years related business line experience or in lieu of a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience.
Good knowledge of concepts w/in discipline basic knowledge of others

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Ability to prioritize effectively based on the activities that will receive the greatest return

Sound creative judgment and analytical ability

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Prior Sales, Sales Support, and/or Marketing experience

Ability to sift through large amounts of data/information and narrow down to the most important trends

Strong PC skills with proficiency in software programs utilized by department
