Software Engineer III - Wealth Management

Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining SQL DB based applications and components for the Wealth Management business.


Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions and the highest level technical direction in the development of new or existing applications to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. Acts as a principal application designer for critical components and major modifications effectively using analytical skills, technical skills, available technology and tools in the evaluation of client requirements and processes. Provides solutions that are technologically sound. Often directs and monitors the activities of junior staff.
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining SQL DB based applications and components for the Wealth Management business.
Responsible for maintenance of applications with technologies such as SQL database.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and business users in conceptualizing, estimating and developing new solutions and enhancements.
Assist in the definition of software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, providing time estimates for programming tasks and implementation plans.
Develop technical documentation to define the system components, development environment and implementation planning/strategies
Collaborate with QA team to define test cases, metrics, and resolve questions about test results.
Create and execute unit tests in accordance with team policies & procedures
Assist in the creation of functional tests in cooperation with the QA team and UAT
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree and a minimum of 6 years’ systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 6 years’ systems analysis/application development experience


Strong skills in database technologies (especially Microsoft SQL Server) including database development
Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle, various development methodologies, and able to independently participate in each phase.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience with writing detailed technical specifications for developers; design, validate and execute software test plans. Highly preferred skills: o Knowledge and experience in Financial Services industry
In-depth understanding of accounting back-office system and supported data structure o Excellent skills in Microsoft technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft .NET Framework

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages
Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature
Prior experience effectively using project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prior experience coordinating between Applications and business units
Prior experience driving project milestones and delivery dates
Prior experience recommending and implementing system solutions
Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities from a project management perspective
Preferred Qualifications:

4-8 years of professional experience in an enterprise scale projects
Subject matter expert in business with knowledge or experience utilizing application/system being supported
Mastered understanding of applications supported with an advanced knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications
Understanding of the Bank’s application framework
Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
Ability to multitask for various components of complex projects
Mastered knowledge and focus of the entire system to work on projects outside of normal business-as-usual (BAU)
Ability to understand businesses supported and its’ terminology
