Job Description

Basic Function
Support the Bank’s risk assessment and monitoring processes with respect to compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Position Responsibilities
Have and maintain an understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements applicable to the banking industry. Effectively communicate applicable requirements to cross-functional partners throughout the organization (i.e. line-of-business, Finance, Credit, etc.).
Have and maintain knowledge on standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the risk analytics field.
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, internal capital adequacy reporting, and other complex deliverables on a recurring and ad-hoc basis.
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and develop recommendations for management on strategies to realize identified opportunities.
Work with project teams to implement changes to methodology and enhance/streamline processes to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Participate in ad-hoc projects involving scenario and impact analysis with a focus on internal capital adequacy assessment and other analytics.
Work with internal partners (line-of-business, Finance, Credit, etc.) and external regulators to ensure processes and procedures meet all Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and direction to lower level analysts regarding all aspects of data analysis, regulatory reporting and compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Nature and Scope
Partner with cross-functional working teams to include lines of business, Credit, and Finance, to ensure compliance with critical regulatory requirements and achieve organization-wide risk management objectives.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or four (4) years accounting, audit, or corporate reporting experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience.
Basic knowledge of financial principles and regulatory and compliance issues related to the banking industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
Experience with advanced analytical tools such as SAS, VBA, SQL, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills.
Superior attention to detail and process orientation.
Previous SEC-type or regulatory reporting experience beneficial.
Results-oriented/delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills
Availability to work overtime during critical reporting cycles.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial reporting, audit, or similar field preferred.
