Job Description

Basic Function: This position is responsible for providing operational support to the WISD division of M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust and its clients as they relate to Cash Operation functions.  These operational functions include but are not limited to:  moving of cash by way of ACH, checks, foreign funds wires, or trade related wires.  The processes involved include client bill payments, compiling net settlement activity for select clients, the preparation of funding entries for general ledger and DDA accounts, notifications and or posting of incoming ACH funds, mailing of checks with special handling instructions, posting of cash receipt/disbursements as directed, applying stop payments on checks as needed, reconciliation of remote check deposits, and escheatment of unclaimed funds.   Position Responsibilities:
•         Resolve problems with transactions by communicating directly with internal financial advisors, investment managers and third parties.
•         Responsible for working with Middle and Front Office to resolve problems with requests submitted.
•         Responsible for balancing, reporting, and researching all exception items that settle through various depositories, general ledger and house accounts
•         Processes and records specific types of transactions relating to investment cash and assets amongst accounts according to applicable policies and procedures
•         Conduct independent verification of transactional activity processed by other team members
•         Support the implementation of process improvements
•         Resolve non-standard or high risk transactions or other exceptions as appropriate
•         Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
•         Prioritize and manage own workload to meet service level agreements and internal service delivery standards   Basic Qualifications Required:
•         Associates Degree or in lieu of degree, a minimum of two years combined higher education and/or related work experience
•         Effective communication skills
•         Attention to detail and good organizational skills
•         Strong math skills
•         Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel   Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
•         One year Securities industry experience
•         Knowledge of Trust accounting systems
•         Knowledge of accounting principles as needed by job
•         Knowledge of M&T systems
