Wealth Planning and Fiduciary Analyst                                   Wilmington Trust Wilmington, DE   BASIC FUNCTION: Core and primary responsibility for supporting the Wealth Strategies Group through the Directors of Planning in the firm’s regional markets to develop strategic planning and advanced wealth analyses delivered to high net worth clients and prospects.  Prepares analysis tailored to individual clients and prospects related to their wealth planning and fiduciary needs including, but not limited to, estate, tax, and financial planning areas.    Performs research projects applicable to new developments in wealth planning.  Communicates effectively with internal colleagues to meet deadlines and manage client and prospect expectations. 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare estate planning, tax planning, and financial planning materials for client and prospect meetings.

Provide research support for Directors of Planning on technical matters related to wealth, fiduciary and financial planning topics.   Works closely with Directors of Planning as assigned regionally or locally to develop presentations that are clear and concise, and that communicate highly technical information effectively.   Expected to have direct prospect and client contact under the guidance of a Director of Wealth and Fiduciary Planning. This contact may be in-person or by phone and include participating directly in the delivery of wealth planning advice   Expected to work as an individual contributor and part of a larger wealth planning analyst team.   Remains current on wealth and financial planning topics in the areas previously described.   Completes all continuing education requirements to maintain licenses and designations as needed as well timely completes all internal mandatory compliance and regulatory requirements.   May support our national experts through research, writing, and editing thought leadership materials.   Complete other related duties as assigned.   NATURE AND SCOPE: The Wealth and Fiduciary Planning Analyst supports the core wealth planning delivery function for the Wealth Strategies Group through the creation of customized strategic wealth analyses and other supporting materials.  This role is highly technical requiring a minimum legal and/or accounting experience in the planning and tax areas discussed above.  The successful individual is a self-starter, self-reliant and has the ability to successful work within a team.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree J.D. degree Admission to any State Bar Association Working estate planning experience which may include document drafting and/or  federal income and/or federal gift and estate tax including transfer tax strategies experience at a law and/or accounting firm, or trust company, or related experience Strong skills in office applications (Microsoft Office) and ability rapidly learn new software applications Excellent written and oral communications skills Ability to work in a team environment Strong interpersonal skills. Self-confident and a proven ability to work well in an individual and group or team Strong analytical ability including the capability to quickly review, assess, and comprehend complex estate documents, corporate agreements, and other legal documents, contracts or agreements as part of the planning process   IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: L.L.M or CPA with focus in Federal Taxation or Estate Planning CFP® 1 or more years of estate planning experience which may include document drafting and/or  federal income and/or federal gift and estate tax planning including transfer tax strategies at a law and/or accounting firm or through related experience Working knowledge in broader areas of financial planning including but not limited to philanthropy, investment, retirement and insurance If position located in Delaware, admission to the Delaware Bar is preferred   About M&T At M&T, we strive to be the best place our employees ever work, the best bank our customers ever do business with and the best investment our shareholders ever make.
